Case Studies & Latest News

Jonny and Claire from Tileworks came to me for help having recently opened a brand new showroom in Northern Ireland.

Having invested heavily in it they felt that they needed to up their game on the marketing front in order to get new customers through the door and provide them with an enjoyable shopping experience when they did. There are lots of things from a marketing perspective that they can do but some things are more urgent than others and budgets need to be spread throughout the year.  We therefore agreed to set up an arrangement whereby I would work for them for 5 days a month, ongoing.

Initially I spent a couple of days in the showroom meeting the team and getting an idea of the types of customers that were coming in, what experience they were getting and how that could be improved to ensure their buying journey was as simple as possible.  We discussed some ideas around the brand, advertising, labelling, website and social media  and then once back in my office I set about putting together a marketing plan for them based on me spending the agreed 5 days per month executing it.

Since then we have improved the company stationery, reviewed and improved the labelling in store, written a brand promise to communicate to customers so they know what to expect, made use of some blank space in the showroom for signage and executed a consumer advertising campaign in a glossy interiors magazine.  It’s fair to say we’ve been busy and there is still loads of work to do but we have started with the basics and already we are seeing our hard work come to fruition.

We love Jayne, not sure if she loves us but she gets our quirky Northern Irish sense of humour and that’s a talent in itself, picking up the lingo along the way!
In all seriousness Jayne just gets us and what we want, she just has the knack of translating what is going on in our heads and she puts it into an action plan for us, helping us take our business to the next level.

Love Mr & Mrs Tileworks 😉
